Description:

Welcome to your 2-week course on developing vibrato with Camille van Niekerk! If you haven’t already completed a level 1 beginner course, we recommend you start there. This series assumes that you are matching pitch and accessing the different registers in your voice. You can still be a beginning singer, but if you’re brand-new, the level 1 beginner course is where you should start.

If any exercise goes too high or low to be sung, we encourage you to continue singing the pitches you’re able to. Additionally, you’re welcome to alter or substitute the syllable for something that feels easier.

Remember: vibrato is your voice’s natural method for protecting itself! We can encourage vibrato by working our voice, and then giving it a chance to relax and find proper balance. The two following exercises will do just that.

Exercises:
Rapid 15151
Descending waterfall 8531
