    Great lesson to share, Aaron!

Yosef: are you having trouble making strong/louder sounds, raising pitch (singing higher) or both?

@Yosef, I don't wanna say I'm a beginner because I did get accepted for a chance to be in a merit music program in my local music school, but like you, I'm just a singer who's trying to learn.

Edit 1: I had my audition for my merit music program and I think I did okay except for the fact that since my accompanist and I only met once I was off-beat a few times.... But my voice was insane I think!

Did the video help? Also, don't do this when you "belt" but make your mouth super wide and very lengthy too to get some extra strength from your shout mechanism.

Yosef, I'd start with three things:

    1. Begin experimenting with some medium to medium-loud vocalizing in your speaking range. Don't jump straight to high AND loud.

    2. Find your "head voice" on any comfortable configuration (owl hoot, humming, lip trill, etc). In order to sing high and loud, we first need to sing high comfortably! And head voice is how we sing our highest pitches.

    3. Begin vocalizing through a straw. It's great for strengthening your voice with the least amount of vocal effort! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0cMSTt3oY7E
