I started lessons a couple of weeks ago and I'm not sure if I'm breathing correctly because after awhile, my chest starts to hurt. My belly and ribs are expanding but maybe I'm still doing something wrong?

Hi, Lorena! It's possible that you're taking in more air than you need (also known as "over breathing"). If you inhale a high volume of air and then can't use it all, it can cause some chest tightness. Try taking shorter breaths - just as much air as you need for the exercise or phrase you're going to sing!
