I'm reviewing the lession for belting and think I'm a soft singer. I notice that with the vocal exercises for soft singers, I tend to get lounder as I go higher. It makes me think either I'm really a loud singer, there's an issue with my technnique, or I'm just not use to me increase volume. Can you please give guidance? Thanks!

Hi Jessica! It's totally normal to get louder as you go higher. Most of us do! As you train mix, you'll develop the ability to adjust your volume and intensity, so that you're not shouting. If you're getting a little louder, that's to be expected. If you're getting uncontrollably loud and heavy, the answer is to train mix so you're not stuck in chest/speaking voice. Level 2 beginner course has lots of mix instruction!
