Singing a Chris Cornell song on vowels

Hi there. I'm a baritone and am working on a Chris Cornell song called 'Seasons'.

Most of the song is easy but there is a line in the bridge: "Well I wanna fly above the storm' - sounds maybe like a high larynx / nasal placement most of the phrase, then a strong belted low larynx for the word ‘storm’.

I want to practice the line on just vowel sounds to get the placement right - could you possibly have a listen to the line in the original to confirm I’m right about what Chris is doing and then suggest what vowels I could practice on? I think I may then have a ‘penny drop’ moment.

Thanks so much for a brilliant course
