I have seen some resources on youtube that suggest clenching stomach muscles a little to add support when going for high notes
I have been struggling to find my mix voice and I tried this and it seemed to work for me. Is this good or bad technique/advice? Is this adding compression as discussed in the blog about mixing?

Hi, Matt!
I teach a gentle outward pressure (as a means of helping resist the air for those higher notes), but other teachers do teach a gentle inward pressure with the low belly. The thing you want to avoid is clenching the upper belly or solar plexus. Please see this lesson for explanation and exercises!
