Hello,
I just finished the 30day beginners course with Camille which was amazing. I learnt so much. There's something I noticed when I'm trying to practice runs from high to low notes.
Going from low to high feels effortless and lovely, I hit the notes individually in the right pitch yet there's a smoothness in the transition between each note. However, when I go from high to low, my voice makes these weird jumps, I'm still hitting the right pitch but it's almost like I'm stumbling over the notes. I don't understand why I can do it in one direction but not in the opposite direction? does anyone have any tips to overcome this?
thank you
Hilde

Hey, Hilde! So glad you enjoyed the course!
My guess is that registration might be the issue - do you find it's "clunky" going from head voice to chest voice? If I'm encountering that problem, I'll either (1) keep the entire run "light" (head voice), (2) keep the entire run a little stronger (more of a chest/mix sound), or (3) use your register "break" stylistically (planning on an intentional "flip" into chest voice).
Hope that helps - let me know if any of those approaches smooth it out!
