Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone has any advice for popping ears and phlegm on the throat. I sing often when playing the guitar and never have this problem. However, I decided to start singing lessons to improve my performances post covid.
The problem is that I cannot seem to get through the exercises without constant popping of the ears. I am already struggling to focus on all of the requirements (keeping relaxed, breathing from the stomach, pulling my voice away from the nose), without having my ears blowing every five seconds.
If anyone has any advice on what I may be doing wrong I would greatly appreciate it. I am afraid that I won't be able to carry on the lessons or exercises if this problem persists.
Thank you in advance :)

Hi, Luke!
I haven't encountered this, but here's advice from someone who has: https://www.quora.com/Why-do-my-ears-pop-when-I-sing.
As for the phlegm, is that a new thing? Singing can cause you to notice phlegm, and it may come up as you're first starting to warm up on any given day. But if it's persistent, I'd ask your doctor for their advice! Allergies, sinus issues, and diet can all lead to excess phlegm.
