I'm really struggling with matching pitch and I think I'm tone deaf because I can't hear which key is being played please assist

Hi there! You certainly don't need to identify keys or pitches by ear. You just need to be able to match pitch! Please see below for a series on singing in tune:

You're welcome! What do you mean by monotonous, so I can be of greater help: sounding boring/flat, or actually struggling to follow the pitch up and down?

Struggling to follow the pitch down and up also just sounding flat and not being in a position to recognize it. Pitch recognition is the one thing really pulling me down
