I am aware that practicing every day is good for building on your singing technique and building a good muscular foundation for your voice; however, I am one who easily would overdo things. My question is how much practice and warmups are too much. Should I listen to my body and stop when I feel like I am straining, or can too much practice sneak up on you and damage your voice with you not noticing? I am currently trying to do warmups 3 times a day for 20 minutes. Is this ok for a complete beginner, or am I jumping in too quickly?

Hi, Austin! I recommend 15-30 minutes of daily practice for beginners. An ideal practice session for you would be about 10 minutes of warmup + vocal exercise, followed by 5 minutes of ear training and 10-15 minutes of song work. Warmups are great, but we want to apply what you're learning to actual songs right away!
Hope that helps. See here for an article on using the beginner course & daily practice.
