Thanks for the quick response, you say to think of ur course 30 day singer and my ear training ie the apps you suggested as two separate things, should i carry on with the course as my problem is im not sure if im hitting the notes rite in the scale exercises

Can you tell me of any apps that are just for my voice pitch, most the the apps seem to be for instruments, im on a android device

The most well-established is EarMaster (app and software download, both paid): https://www.earmaster.com/
That's a good question! If I were you, I might spend a few weeks totally devoted to matching pitch, until you're confident that you can hear a pitch on the piano and match it (within your range, of course). You can also use the free warmups on PerfectPitch or SingSharp (apps), which will display your pitch in relation to the melody.

Hi, Mylie! Informal recordings can be done with a phone (typically better camera and mic quality than laptops). If you want to start recording more formally, you can get a USB microphone that will plug directly into a computer.
