Hello again! :)
Any suggestions about practicing away from a track, such as when doing miscallaneous tasks and I think to myself, "I could be using these 2 minutes to practice?" I know we practice mums, guhs, trills, etc to the chromatic scale. Is it still advisable to practice even when I can't pitch match to these scales and go in 1-3-5 or 1-5-4-3-2-1 patterns? Any other suggestions for practicing away from our resources?

Hi, Jared! You can vocalize on any pattern, gradually moving up and down throughout your range. That's the tricky thing for beginners, though: moving up or down in half-steps without a pitch reference. Typically when I'm away from the piano or laptop, I'll do slides (1-5-1 or 1-8-1) on a lip trill, or I'll work on a song. But if it's song work, I recommend at least getting your starting pitch (from a piano app or tuning app on your phone).
