Hi Camille and Jonathan,
I noticed your lips are coming together and moving apart with the trill. My lips are just together the whole time. I'm not sure how to get that sort of o shape and have my lips do that. Your shapes look more round and mine look more like a propeller and frown. My tongue placement and sound are fine but I don't think I'm doing the exercise correctly.
Thanks!

Hi, Eve! It may help to bring your lips forward (like a duck bill), support the corners of your mouth with your fingers, and try to relax your lips as much as possible. Let me know if that helps!
And Vilma: please email [email protected] for help with your account!

Thanks Camille:)
It did help a lot but I still don't think I'm doing it correctly. I can now do the trill without pursing the lips together but I have to use a lot of breath to get the sound to come forward. But at least my lips don't feel tense. I tried with the v and ng too but sometimes with ng I feel like the sound gets stuck at back of throat.

Sure thing, Eve! Have you tried straw singing? It's a great alternative to the lip trill and provides even more back pressure.

I just tried the extend your vocal range with straw. Really liked it:)

Is there a place to get the lyrics and music for the songs from the beginner courses with you and Jonathan? I wanted to try and play along on piano.
Thanks!
