Chord closure

    Hello. New to the forum and the program and very excited by what I see so far. Another voice teacher says that one way to promote closure is to take a diaphramatic breath, but then hold your breath while singing a phrase. Thoughts?

    Welcome! I agree with the low breath and the feeling of holding back some of your air (to achieve a steady, slow release and not use all your air at once). But if you're holding your breath, you're not making noise! Our vocal folds create sound by vibrating together as air passes through them.
