Hey everyone,
I'm having this problem when singing - I can make it about 3/4 of the way through a song but then I start yawning! Its the weirdest thing because it happens at all times of the day and even when I'm well rested. I'm sure it has to do with breathing, but would love to hear a solution!
Thanks,
Brett

Hi, Brett! I was taught that yawning during singing is due to your body trying to get more oxygen (via a deep breath and an open throat, which happens when we yawn). Consider doing some slow, deep breathing before singing, and make sure you're breathing (taking low, relaxed breaths) during the song. Let us know if that makes a difference!

Thanks, Camille! That did help. I found I have to think more about when I breathe as part of the performance of singing. Its a funny thing you don't consider at first!

Good! I find singers often overbreathe (continually filling up with a large volume of air) during vocal exercises and then don't breathe often enough when singing songs!
