Hey all, I'm new here. I'm a 38 year old male, brand new to singing. I started the beginners course, but how do I know if I am a bass or a tenor? Thanks.

Hi Camille, for bass/baritone singer specifically (overall range E2 to B4) what are typically the transition points to go from chest to mixed and then mixed to head voice?
Again, thank you very much. -

For classical singing & voice typing: https://www.singwise.com/articles/how-to-determine-singing-range-and-vocal-fach-voice-type
For contemporary singing: the transition from chest to mix for lower male voices is typically around Eb4, and the transition to head voice is around Ab4!
