Hello Everybody,
I have been kinda doing apoggion breathing except I found out that I'm not doing it correctly. The apoggio breathing combines both the belly breath and the rib breath. The belly breath part is easy except the rib breath part is hard. Like hard hard hard hard.... hard. The reason that it is hard is because I feel that only one side of my rib cage is expanding. How can I make both sides of my rib cage expand? Thanks!

Hi, Aaron! Your ribs naturally lift as your lungs expand. I'm not sure why only one side would be moving! But my thought is that if there's rib movement, that's good!
I'd suggest trying a few things: (1) pretend that you're smelling a flower, inhaling deeply, and see if both sides expand; and (2) exhale first, then inhale deeply. Feel free to update if either method works for you!
