I was training with this other vocal coach and she said since ive got the basic vocal warmups down i should try running in place when i do them which i think has something to do with vocal resistence what is your opionion on that

Hi, Gabriella! Some singers do train with a bit of cardio - especially musical theater singers who need to dance and sing at the same time. I don't have personal experience with that, but I am definitely a fan of working out before singing. If you try running while singing, let us know if you like it! If it helps you, then great.
