Nothing externally should change when you go from straight tone to vibrato! It feels like a "release" or "letting go" within your throat, but there's absolutely no change in your abdomen or mouth to make that happen.

Thanks Camille! I have a similar question and I am glad that I was able to find your answer here!
However, can you please also advise regarding the below:
1) How to create more 'stable' or 'prominent' vibratos as preferred by some people as 'more professional vibratos'?
2) You mentioned in your lesson that we should watch your tutorials for vibrato. Can you please tell me where I can find those tutorials?
Thank you!

Hi, Judy!
Here's my first tutorial on vibrato (from the "tricks and techniques" page): https://www.30daysinger.com/tutorial/mastering-vibrato/1.
And here's vibrato, part 2 (also from the "tricks and techniques" page): https://www.30daysinger.com/tutorial/how-to-sing-vibrato-part-2/1.
As for making your vibrato more prominent, that's a skill I find best acquired by ear. Singers may have visualizations that help them, but I think that once you've found your vibrato and are able to "release" it at will, then you can listen to singers and try to match their vibrato intensity. I know that's not an easy answer, but that's how singers learn to vary their vibrato, in my experience!
