Hi!
I have a very unique situation where I am physically unable to do lip trill due to a condition call bell's palsy. Because of that, the left side of my face is partially paralyzed. Knowing that this is a major warm-up exercise; is there another exercise that would be as effective?

Hi, Scott!
I have a family member with Bell's palsy as well. The benefit of the lip trill is that it's a semi occluded vocal tract technique - so any SOVT is a good replacement. For students who cannot do a lip trill, I recommend singing on a VV, ZZ, MM, NN, NG, tongue trill (rolled r sound), or singing through a straw. Thank you for your question, and good luck!
