i see. should i work on those first before i start doing any head/mix or belting exercises?

I think you can start training head voice and mix right away; for belting, make sure your posture and breath support are easy to maintain first!

i see. also, how can i like analyse songs to see what's best for my voice? how can i find songs that match my vocal range?

Here's a site that can help:
Once you've determined your vocal range, you can also look up a song you're interested in by searching for songs from singers of that range (ie: tenor, baritone, etc) or comparing your vocal range against the pitches within a song (by searching for the lowest and highest pitch in any given song). Let me know what your vocal range is, and I can try to help!

My vocal range is E2/F2-A#5 (on my very very best day) but as i told you in the live stream, i can't do the middle part well and you told me i should practise my mix voice a lot more and my very high register sounds annoying and squeaky). It would be amazing if you can find songs that don't need all the 3.5 octaves for sure and also songs that are low like billie eillish kind. also, i realised you got confused by me saying "i can sing Billie Eillish better than Ariana Grande". what i meant by that is that it sounds better and more perfect (hitting exact same note wise" when i sing a Billie Eillish song like her new single "my future". Even though my best friend told me i sound like a 3/10 in it (i sent you the audio on Instagram and it would be amazing if you check me singing it!), i sound way better than when i sing a song for Ariana Grande which obviously needs huge vocal range and a lot of high register.

Gotcha. In that case, probably best to stick with your comfortable lower chest voice range for now (until you've deveoped that mix/middle section). Can you tell me your highest chest voice pitch?

hey Camille, hope you're doing great!
so i have been practising creep by radiohead but with a bit of a twist. it sounds like: https://youtu.be/wC64ZPJXMGU
i could also make it a bit lower if that's better so please check it out whenever you're free and let me know if it's good for my vocal range. oh and also please check my future - billie eillish whenever you have time and let me know if i was anywhere near okay!
thanks in advance!

Look forward to hearing you next time! At this point, I'm only able to provide feedback during live sessions. But I highly recommend checking out Singscope (app), and using the exercise section of PerfectPitch or SingSharp. Those all have the capability to analyze your pitch and show you if you're in tune or not! Unfortunately, it's trickier with songs. I think Smule might have that function, but perhaps not for every song!

i see. well, is the song creep by radiohead good for a baritone like the cover at that youtube channel or what?
