Hi, I’m Nami and I’m new here. I’ve just got some questions on how to start the course.
On the beginners course (lessons) there are 3 vocal coaches. Should I only pick one out of three or can I have lessons from all 3 of them for 30 days each? Please let know which option is more effective to get something out of this course.
Secondly, I noticed you have vocal warm up lessons for beginners/advance/performance etc. Should I do the beginners vocal warmup before each lesson, is that a good idea?
If you can help me, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks

Hi Nami,
These are great questions. If you're new to sing, I suggest simply choosing 1 of the 30 Day Beginner courses and stick with it until the end. It will give you a better understanding of how to control your voice.
All 3 beginner courses cover the same topics and materials. We offer 3 different beginner courses because we want to give learners the option of choosing an instructor that best fits their style and vocal qualities. Also, once you choose a 30 Day Beginner Course to begin with, you can always jump out of it, and start another course, if the first one you chose was not what you expected.
Remember, it's a 30 day course, but that doesn't mean you have to finish it in 30 days. Take your time with it!
Also, when you are done with the beginner course, I suggest exploring the other tutorials as you go along. I hope that answers your question.

Hi Billy
Thank you for clarifying, appreciate it.
Just a few things I forgot to ask, beg your pardon.
1) With the beginners lessons, since they are around 10 mins, can I repeat the lesson again afterwards. So for example, I start lesson 1 (lip trills) for 10 mins can I do the lesson again straight-after?
2) I’m looking to develop like a grit/raspy singing voice, are there any lessons here that covers that?
3) Thirdly, do you cover on how to sing with emotion? The reason why I’m asking this is because I’ve dealt with a lot of pain/setbacks/rejections/heartbreak (you name it), and I want to be able to use it through music/singing as a way to let it all go and express myself as a person.
4) Finally, which time of the day is best to do these lessons? I’m sure whether to do it in the morning, afternoon or evening?
If you can help me with this, would really appreciate it.

Hi Nami,
Sorry it took so long for us to get back to you! Here are some answers:
1. The beginner lessons are meant to be repeated for as long as you need to get comfortable. You can definitely repeat all our any number of the lessons as often as you wish. The lesson is meant to demonstrate what you should do and you can use to your liking.
2. If you want to get a raspy/gritty voice, you can check out the style lessons here. There are some cool tutorials on artist styles that I recommend - Singing With Style is the name and we have one for mena nd women: https://www.30daysinger.com/advanced
3. To sing with emotion can be something learned with lots of practice. We cover this in our beginner course, but you also want to try the lessons in the advanced tutorial link I sent above.
4. Time of day differs for everyone. Some like to do the afternoon since you voice has already warmed up and that way it's easier to sing and do every exercise without too much strain. I would try different times of day and see what works best for you. Definitely always start with some warmups: https://www.30daysinger.com/warmups
Hope this helps!

Hey, I'm Abby! I've been on this program since november and I started a personal daily agenda (of sorts) specifically for this program. What should we do once we've gone over every video? Should we go back to a "warmup only" routine? Or should we rewatch every video again?
Thanks!

My suggestion is to explore the other videos on the site (outside of the beginner course) - or create your own routine using the following:
1. Warmup (could alternate based on the day, what you're about to sing, how you're feeling)
2. Song work (working on a specific section of a song, listening, memorization, etc)
3. Optional: ear training (with an app)
4. Optional: record & listen back (give yourself feedback)
Here's more guidance:
