So I'm trying to sing with a tall position in the mouth. But when I sing with lyrics it comes out like there's marbles in my mouth. How can I fix that without spreading?

Hi, Gavin! You don't need to keep a tall position at all times. It's most important for vowels on sustained pitches (if that's the tone you're going for)!

Gavin loosen up. Yes, you do not need to keep a "tall position". Keep the jaw loose and agile. You want your soft palate raised for optimal tone and sound. Best way to get your soft palate to open, is to think of opening your eyes big and raising the eyebrows. This triggers the the soft palate to open which is what you want Gavin. You want that sound to come through nicely with as little interference as possible so the soft palate you should have good space. The tall mouth thing might be getting you to stiffen your jaw which is going to create that sound you are describing. Keep it up GAVIN!!!!!!!!!!
