The weather where I live has been stiflingly hot for the least few days. My voice has got worse over these days, could it be due to the hot weather?

hot weather often means sweat and more time outside, so you have to be extra careful to stay hydrated. vocal cords are made out of the same soft, moist stuff as the inside of your cheek, and when they don't get enough water, they become more brittle and susceptible to damage.
if you want to read more, go to google search and search up "can heat damage your singing voice".

Good thinking, Claudia! I agree that dehydration and fatigue could both affect your singing, Pip. Extra hydration and rest for the time being!
