hey !
when i sing my voice is good but when i record and hear it i cringe and i dont like it !
so i made some reseraches and found that i should dampem my larynx while i sing
and i did this and i found that yeah my voice became better and i dont cringe when i hear it back .
so is this good to dampen the larynx all the time when i sing or its bad for my larynx ?
Thank you !

Hi, Eslam! Many voice teachers would tell you that the ideal "default" position for the larynx is neutral. But it's important that you can adjust your larynx for stylistic effect, as described in this lesson. So while a neutral larynx is a good place to start, it doesn't always have to remain neutral or low (unless you're singing classical music, which uses a lower larynx position in general).
