Camille you never demonstrated how to belt. Do we lower our larynx with a buh to mix voice belt? How do you sing outwardly beyond your comfort zone. I wanna know how to let go of cord conversion ans be divergent and be open. How do i actually burst without shouting. What do i look for, not just the exercises. Whats the anatomy besides lowering your larynx. Im so confused. You never belted in the video.

Hi, Raequon! In that live lesson, I really spent time on the fundamentals - not on opening up (because if we go straight to an open, wide mouth position, most beginning singers will yell, strain, and crack).
We do eventually let the larynx rise a little, let our mouth shape spread and let our tongue come forward if we do want more of that chesty quality. But for beginning singers, we can't jump straight there! So important to establish breath support, a neutral larynx, and mixed registration first.
This video series provides more explanation + exercises for intermediate singers. (And anything by New York Vocal Coaching has solid info!)
I also highly recommend this podcast on the acoustics of belting. The instructor, John Henny, is one of the leading voices on contemporary technique and he explains the science well.
Hope it helps, Raequon! I'm sorry for the confusion. Let me know what you think of those resources!
