    Hi Ms Camille

I attended your free singing feedback session some time ago, and I remember you using this app/website that identifies the notes for singing for different songs. May I ask what is this app/website?

    Thank you!

    Hi, Kang!

Here's an app I just learned about that helps you identify the notes you (or another singer) are singing: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/nail-the-pitch-vocal-monitor/id1486640549. If you want to analyze the pitch of another artist, I recommend looking up the isolated lead vocal on YouTube or splitting the mp3 yourself into instruments & vocals using something like /https://splitter.ai/.

I may have mentioned tuner.ninja as a chromatic tuner, or https://sheetmusic-free.com/ to find free sheet music!

    Sorry to trouble you again

So just confirming, you read the notes in the scores to know what the correct note that you should be singing is, right? Because the scores do not identify the notes in word form. (e.g C4) (Please don't think that I am complaining)

Speaking of music score, note C4 in C major is the same as note C4 in say... D major, right?

All the resources are really useful! Thank you so much!

Correct! The notes are arranged on the staff in a specific order, so you can determine the pitches by the sheet music. Check out https://www.musictheory.net/ if you're interested in learning how to read sheet music (the website is free, and the apps are inexpensive if you prefer that)!

C4 is the C roughly in the middle of the keyboard. There's also C3 (one octave lower), C5 (one octave higher), etc. There technically isn't a C4 in the key of D major - that key has 2 sharps, one of which is C#!

Check these out: https://fossbytes.com/5-best-android-ear-trainer-apps-musicians/. Search for "chromatic tuner" or "ear training" + Android - I haven't tried them out, but I'm sure some folks online have helpful reviews!
