Hello there, Is there anybody that could help me out with my situation? When I use compression there are many things that goes wrong and I'm not sure how I could improve that...
When I use compression, I feel like I'm not using my vocal folds to let in little airflow. When I look up where I should feel the sensation in my throat, it's exactly where the vocal cords are but it's not how it should sound or even feel. It also slightly feels odd and almost hurts (for like 2 minutes), it's not painful at all but i just instantly knew i shouldn't feel like that. I also sound very very nasaly, it sounds a bit like a technique that some singers go for but it still isn't healthy compression. For the pushing I use my diaphram and i "push down". I still holds back air like it normaly would and i don't sound breathy.
This is how I sound like with '"compression" like: https://drive.google.com/file/d/13cJJR5Wymp0SlYwvjg5nZIULqQgHdJpZ/view?usp=sharing
Does anyone have the same problem or can help ma out?
Thank you for your time -
