    I'm from Australia and do not know the American National Anthem.  What should I do in this instance.

    Hi, Karen! We do use that song as an example for several lessons, so I think you'll learn the melody over time! But it's just an example song - the goal is that you apply those same principles to your own song work (on songs of your choosing).
