on the first two lessons of the begginer course done with camille, numbers are mentioned. like for the lip trill it is 1-5-1. Im not entirely sure what those numbers mean and would appreciate oif someone would help me out. thanks

Hi, Sunaina! Those numbers are scale degrees. If you're familiar with music theory or play an instrument: all warmups within the beginner course use the major scale. If you're not familiar with music theory, here's an hour-long lesson on music theory for beginning singers. You don't need to understand music theory to improve your voice - but it does help most singers to understand the pattern of the warmup, which is why we include it. 1-2-3-2-1 is a pattern with pitches right next to one another, walking up (higher) and back down (lower). 1-5-1 is leap from your starting pitch (1) to a pitch several steps higher (5). 1-8-1 is an even larger distance.
