Hey guys,
I have been playing the guitar for years but could never sing in tune. Now I decided to dedicate some time to singing.
I took the first class and I thought I was doing great going up the scale and all and in my head, it sounded right.
So I go talk to the wife and she told me it was all over the place. So now I am left wondering if this will be effective without someone there to correct my mistakes.
In my head, I thought I was going up the scale right, but apparently I was not.
Just trying to figure out this online learning since I can't really go to a teacher right now.

Hi, Felipe!
It sounds like your wife may have a good enough ear to help you develop your sense of pitch! I recommend you use Jonathan Estabrooks' course so you can hear demonstrations in your octave. And consider spending some time dedicated to ear training - either before attempting the 30 day course, or along with it. Here are some resources for you to use:
You can use https://www.harpkit.com/online-tuner for reference pitches and https://tuner.ninja/ for a chromatic tuner.
* Pitch apps: http://singtrue.co/ for a well thought out system; also check out https://www.guidingtech.com/55792/wonderful-ios-apps-musicians/
* Two similar apps (free to download and use most features - I wouldn't pay for the upgrade, though): https://apps.apple.com/us/app/learn-to-sing-perfect-pitch/id1409450884 & https://www.singsharpapp.com/
* For songs: use https://www.smule.com/ or a similar karaoke app that analyzes your pitch in real-time.
