Hi Camille,
I have been practicing beginner warm-ups for about a month now. I previously took in vocal lessons as well before 30 day singer. I am is mezzo soprano I am just wondering when I should move on to harder lessons I just did the mezzo suprano warm-up you have under warm ups It was a little challenging is that a good thing?
One more question, when you were a beginner singer did you sing a lot of the same warm-ups repetitively over and over again? Sometimes I feel discouraged like I should be doing something else I just wanted to know if this was a normal thing to help me have some reassurance.
thank you so much! :)

Hi, Rebecca! A little bit of a challenge is good. I encourage you to try out different warmups on the site and see which prepares you for further singing the best! You can also cycle through different warmups to focus on a different aspect of singing each day/few days.
When I was a beginning singer, I did the warmups my teachers recommended (which were very often the same exercises, repeatedly). But as I've learned about my voice (and how to build a warmup), I make note of the syllables/vowels and patterns that work best for me (depending on the goal/purpose of that warmup).
Here's a live lesson on building an efficient warmup that you might find helpful!
