Hi, I'm a bit confused on how the beginners course is supposed to be used. I'm an absolute beginner singer and I want to learn how to sing. Will the course involve "homework" at some point, as well as practice with songs that I want to sing? So far it's just been some breathing techniques and warmup drills, but only during the lesson (no homework).
Also, should I be doing 1 lesson per day? They are very short and I can easily fit 3-4 lessons into one day, and do that 3 times per week, for a total of 9-12 lessons per week. -

Hi Camille, thanks for this. I actually found Daily Practice Routine for Beginners by Mark Mekailian and that's how I've been starting my sessions (stretching, breathing exercsies, and lastly vocal warmups). But he doesn't include any of the warmups from Warm Up with a Routine (30 Day Beginner Course) with Jonathan Estabrooks (Like the lip trill, open ah/yah, etc.). So should I combine all the warmups, from both videos (Mark's and Jonathan's) or just pick one?

Just one warmup is needed, then move on to song work or any other specific skill you're working on (ear training, agility, etc)!
I start with a warmup (10-15 minutes) and add on song or style-specific exercises if needed. For example, if I'm about to work on a song with belting, I include belting warmups at the end of my warmup time. Hope that helps!
